Competition Info

Duration of competition: 1 June 2011-31 July 2011 (2 Months)

Theme: 1 Malaysia in 2011

The picture submission has to portray the 1 Malaysia slogan. The picture can be an individual, a group, location, cultural and anything that highlights Malaysia’s harmony and the spirit of 1 Malaysia. Each picture submitted must have a clearly understood, strong visual message.

• To encourage the celebration of Malaysia Day on 16 September 2011
• To further enrich the spirit of patriotism.
• To encourage the involvement of the public in Malaysia’s Art-Photography industry.
• To encourage the flow of creative ideas from budding photographers.
• To collect the best visual artwork and to support the emerging photographers through compilation of a book representing the work.

Participation:

Category A: OPEN

• Open to all Malaysians. Total of entries are not limited. However, each candidate is eligible to win ONE prize if chosen as the winner.

Category B: Students

• Open to all students from Public and Private Institutions in Malaysia. Participants must be citizens of Malaysia. Total of entries are not limited. However, each candidate is eligible to win ONE prize if chosen as the winner.
• The candidate from this category must be in the age of 24 years old and below, beginning 1 January 2011.

Category C: Non-citizens

• Open to Foreign National Tourists or foreigners residing in Malaysia.
